Taking Figaro in to get his bandages changed today. Hopefully it's all good news!

Cool shot of the fan in my old room.
Sweet Baxter :D
Went to the barn today. I think I want to start jumping again. Watching people do it...It made me sad that I don't get to do that anymore. I really think I need to start again.

Going to the barn tomorrow with my mom!!
Just waiting for my baby to wake up.
Possibly getting a new volunteer job!! Taking pictures, walking dogs, cleaning catteries. Fun fun fun!
Well, thanks to the TV show "Infested!" on Animal Planet, I was awake at 6 a.m. this morning. I had a dream that there were scorpions infesting my life. Wonderful. I still have the goosebumps.

She looks so happy here.
My old Golden Retriever, Ellie.
I'm on the last episode of Season 7 of "Rescue Me." It's going to be a sad end. I really like this show, haha.
Got another foster cat today. His name is Pearl Jam (a.k.a. PJ) he is a total sweetheart. He was going to be euthanized because he had the flu. Come to find out, he also has FeLV. Poor baby. I'm glad I am part of saving his life.
If you're reading this, keep my foster kitty, Figaro in mind. He's getting his bandages changed today, and we're hoping his burns are healing up. He's such a sweet guy and deserves to get better.

You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives. ~Clay P. Bedford
Love
Just smile.
Watching Lady and the Tramp II with my toddler. It's so fun to watch his reactions. I think it's amazing how complex humans are.

People die everyday. It sucks, but it's true. We can't stop our lives because someone we care about has died. I know that's hard to hear, but I personally can say that if I die tomorrow, I would want my family to continue with their lives. I'd rather they celebrate my life, than mourn my death.
Don't look back.
It's interesting to think about life and death. we live life day to day, and usually take it for granted. We aren't scared of death until it's upon us. Someone close to us dies, or we have a near death experience. But the question is, should we fear it? People who believe in God don't fear it, because they know that there's a heaven after death. But people who are unsure...They live in fear. That's why I choose God.
Waiting on the world to change.

Well, I finally got a picture of Cody, haha. I don't get it. Why are guys so weird about getting their pictures taken? They're so confident about everything else, but as soon as you pull a camera out, they freak.

This is my dad. He is one of my major role models. I owe alot of who I am to him. I'm strong, because he is strong. I respect myself, because he respects me. I love you, Dad!

Today is a new day. I slept for like 12 hours last night, so needless to say, I feel rested and am ready for whatever life has to throw at me today.

Curiosity isn't just for cats and people.
I have long since lost touch with this girl, but she was one of my friends in highschool. It's interesting to think about what those days were like. I was so different then. It's hard to think that was only four years ago. I was such a child then. Young and innocent. Then highschool ended and real life happened. Amazing how that works, huh?
My brother-in-law.
Sometimes you just have to stop and look at what's right in front of you. Too often we take for granted the things that help us get through each and every day.
I was going out to get Baxter, my horse, and as he was coming to me, I snapped this shot. His ears are up and everything! Magnificent, if I do say so, myself!
I was actually laying on the floor with Bailey when I got this shot. It such a simple action. One that she does everyday, but for some reason there's so much emotion in that one second.
Here's a side shot of Bailey. She got distracted by a bird. Cool shot, though. I love her tail.
I actually took this picture on accident. I did like the lighting and how cute she looked though! You can really see her personality shining through.
Another shot of the cake.
Graduation cake.
Just chilling in the bathroom.
Every dog deserves a pat on the head.
See the purple necklace around her neck? Plastic. I thought it would break the day I put it on her, but she kept it on for months! In fact, I'm not sure exactly when it fell off. I just reached down to pet her one day, and it was gone!
Not only is Bailey the Border Collie mix a rescue, who my dad and I adopted from the shelter a few years ago, but she's also one of my best friends. She's been with me through alot, and I owe alot of who I am to her. I love this dog. I wish she lived with me, but she's busy keeping my mom company, which is good too. She really is a sweetheart. Rescue a dog today!
This is my sister's old Golden Retriever, Austin. I have to say, because of this dog, I know why dogs are considered Man's Best Friend. This boy will follow his owners around, even though now his arthiritis is getting to him. He has a job to do. Everyday, he makes his rounds around the farm, never failing. He may be slower now, but he gets the job done!
Life gives you many friends. But you only have one friend that you can truly say you've known since birth and you plan to know forever.
I love how this cat doesn't even care that there's a cobweb on his tail. Just goes to show what a sweetheart he is. How laid back. Most people flip out if they so much as bump into one, let alone if it was stuck in their hair or something. Not Pico. He's just a chill little guy.
Sometimes life just passes us by.
I met this girl, Alison on a summer job. We were really shy towards one another, until she and I realized that the guy I had a crush on when I was three years old, turned out to be her basketball coach. Talk about a small world. I love moments like this. The moments where you become best friends with someone without even trying. You're just going on a joyride or whatnot, and the next thing you know, you have a friend for life!

I'm new to this whole blogging thing, so bare with me! I figure the best way to start, is to telll you a little about myself. I am 22 years old. I am engaged and have a 16 month old son, by the name of Charlie. I have 3 dogs. Two lab/husky mixes by the name of Hope and Hero, and a Beagle mix by the name of Dallas. I foster puppies, dogs, cats, and kittens for Austin Pets Alive! Why, you ask? Don't I get attached? I do, but I just remind myself that if I kept them all, I wouldn't be able to save more from certain death at the shelter. Currently, I am fostering a black and white tuxedo cat by the name of Figaro. He was set to be euthanized, just because he had an infection on his neck. It's nothing that a week or so of care won't fix. Anyways, I guess this is my intro!
